Love Island's Tommy Murphy Wedding Snaps Explained: He's Not Really Married
Love Island Tommy Murphy Wedding Snaps Explained

Love Island's latest addition, Tommy Murphy, has quickly settled into villa life. The 28-year-old entered as a bombshell during Wednesday evening's episode (June 10) alongside Simba Kudyiwa. The fresh faces joined the programme amid a dramatic recoupling ceremony, with their opening move being to select one girl each to save from being dumped.

Simba picked Angelista Gunda while builder Tommy decided to pair up with Ellie Chadwick. This left Robyn Langton as the final girl remaining, making her the season's first eliminated Islander.

Following the explosive recoupling, Tommy and Ellie have received limited airtime and have been quietly becoming acquainted behind the scenes. Simba on the other hand has already caused a stir by snogging Angelista and having a confrontation with her previous partner, Ope.

Wedding Snaps Mystery

Supporters keen to discover more about Newcastle-based Tommy may have already stumbled upon his Instagram profile, which showcases numerous wedding photos and images of him posing and gazing lovingly at a bride. So what's the story behind this?

While he was presented on the programme as a builder, Tommy also balances work as a model. Given that both he and the bride featured are represented by the same talent agency, it's reasonable to conclude Tommy hasn't secretly married before entering the villa, reports OK! In fact, he and the model posing as a bride have also featured in other photoshoots together, including in images for what appears to be an emerging sportswear brand. Meanwhile, Tommy has also modelled the Newcastle United FC strip and featured in promotional pictures for Center Parcs.

Tommy's Relationship History

Before entering the villa, Tommy suggested that he had 'met a lot of girls' through his career. He told ITV: 'Outside the villa, I meet a lot of girls through work, but I think I've got a bit of a mental block when it comes to relationships and committing properly. Being in the villa, where you can't really escape and you're fully immersed in it, could actually be the perfect environment for me.'

The bombshell disclosed he had only experienced 'one or two proper relationships' previously, describing himself as 'naturally a bit cautious.'

Viewers will have to keep watching to discover whether Ellie could be his match, or if his attention might be captured by another girl. Love Island airs Sundays to Fridays on ITV2 and ITVX.
