The Love Island villa is bracing for a dramatic shake-up as ITV confirms a brutal recoupling twist just hours after the Movie Night mayhem. Contestants are facing a 'worst-case scenario' that could see several Islanders sent home.
Movie Night Fallout
Audiences witnessed the final Movie Night footage unfold on Monday (July 6), leaving several contestants in floods of tears. Former favourite Jasmine discovered exactly how intimate her former partner Kavan and bombshell Charleen became during Casa Amor. She devoted much of the episode attempting to bounce back from her devastation, while Charleen remained determined to rescue her romance with Kavan.
The love triangle will ultimately be settled in forthcoming scenes broadcasting on Tuesday (July 7), though the Islanders won't be permitted to unwind for long.
Shock Text Announcement
As the ITV stars adjust to a fresh day, Aidan receives a text that 'stops everyone in their tracks', reports OK!. It reads: 'Islanders, tonight there will be a recoupling, in which the boys will choose which girl they want to couple up with.'
The message sends ripples of shock throughout the villa as Martha tells Charleen and Julia: 'That's our worst-case scenario.' Casa Amor bombshell Julia subsequently confesses: 'I'm so worried.'
Elimination Threat for Casa Girls
Despite securing a place in the main villa, the Casa girls face the threat of elimination because there are more women than men on the programme. Mara arrived with Simba, though he has since reunited with his previous flame Angelista. Meanwhile, Julia has been matched with Favourite Boy Lorenzo, yet he has already begun doubting their connection.
Kavan's Dilemma
Kavan also appears to be having second thoughts about his choice to bring Irish stunner Charleen back to the villa. Viewers will see the 21-year-old make his ultimate decision in tonight's episode. During a chat with Aidan, Lorenzo and Samraj, he discloses that he has just called time on things with one of the girls.
Aidan is left gobsmacked by his selection, but Kavan clarifies: 'I can't help how I feel, boys.' Samraj jumps in to back his decision, declaring: 'You can't just turn off your feelings.'
Possible Reconciliation
While ITV won't reveal who Kavan picks, it appears he will remain with Jasmine. The Kent heartthrob has already confessed that he has feelings for Jasmine, despite their turbulent history. Their possible reconciliation could leave Charleen facing the axe.
