Amaya 'Papaya' Espinal, winner of Love Island USA season seven, has been hospitalised and undergone emergency surgery. The 27-year-old reality star was rushed to hospital over the weekend after suffering from abdominal pain.
Espinal shared an update from her hospital room in Los Angeles, posting a photo of a bouquet of flowers with a note from ITV and Beyond the Villa, wishing her a speedy recovery. She captioned the image with heart and teary-eyed emojis.
The star has been filming the spin-off show Beyond the Villa. Her hospitalisation comes after she and Bryan Arenales confirmed their split in August, following their win and division of the $100,000 prize. Espinal stated they were 'on two different journeys' and that their 'visions didn't align'.
Meanwhile, UK fans anticipate the next Love Island All Stars series, set to begin in January. Former contestant Scott van-der-Sluis, 24, is reportedly returning. The footballer first appeared in season 10 in 2023, finishing sixth, and later featured on the US version and Love Island Games.
