The Scottish Islander, who entered the ITV dating show as one of the original contestants on this year's series, had repeatedly threatened to walk away after Finley's head was turned by bombshell Elicia Bailey. Their romance appeared to fall apart when Elicia entered the villa and immediately formed a connection with the Welsh contestant, leaving Ellie, who hails from West Lothian, heartbroken as the pair got to know each other and shared several kisses after coupling up.
The love triangle dominated recent episodes, with Ellie struggling to hide her emotions as Finley admitted he wanted to explore his connection with Elicia, despite Ellie making it clear she would walk if he kept it up.
Brief Reconciliation
Despite the setback, there appeared to be a glimmer of hope for Ellie and Finley in Tuesday night's episode (July 14). During the latest recoupling, Ellie chose to couple up with Finley, and the pair promised to have a fresh start. The pair later shared a bed together, while Finley admitted he was pleased they were "back on track." However, Ellie warned Finley that she wanted to "take things slow" from now on, as he had broken her trust.
But according to The Sun, that reunion was short-lived. The publication reports that Ellie has now left the villa, with the dramatic scenes expected to air in the coming days due to the show's broadcast delay.

Speaking to The Sun, a source said: "This is one where the time difference between show action and real life really matters. Viewers have seen Ellie threatening to leave across recent episodes, so the news of her now quitting won't feel like a surprise. But in real time, her and Fin reconnected at the recoupling a few days ago so her decision to now leave is a shock. Viewers will see the dramatic action play out in an episode soon."
While UK audiences have only just watched Ellie and Finley reunite, filming in Mallorca takes place several days before episodes are broadcast, allowing producers time to edit the programme.
Third Contestant to Leave
According to the report, Ellie is believed to have made the decision to leave yesterday before exiting the villa on her own terms later that evening. If confirmed, she will become the third contestant to leave this year's series without being officially dumped. Her departure follows George Knight, who exited the villa during the first week for "personal reasons," while Gabriel Garland was removed from the show shortly after entering for Casa Amor, when producers became aware of a past incident.
