The Love Island villa has been thrown into chaos following the return of The Grafties ceremony, which saw 'diabolical' footage screened to the islanders.
The Grafties, a staple of the series since 2023, operates similarly to Movie Night. Islanders watch clips of their own behaviour, organised into award categories, with viewers voting for winners. Each winner must collect their prize and deliver a speech, often sparking controversy.
Anticipation and apprehension
Sunday's episode (July 21) saw Yasmin receive a message announcing The Grafties, declaring: "We need to look amazing, we're going to have the best night ever." Most of the lads were immediately apprehensive. Samraj forecast: "It's going to be naughty. It's going to be cheeky. There's going to be drama..." Tommy added: "A few truths are going to come out today."
Jasmine confessed: "I've slagged a lot of the boys off, I'll be honest."
Exposed secrets and reactions
The accolades exposed private discussions and brutal realities, leaving several islanders doubting everything they believed. Upon seeing Lorenzo's nomination for Flirtiest Performance, Julia remarked: "I don't know how I feel about that, it's just gross, isn't it?" while Lorenzo admitted: "I cringed watching that. That actually hurt me and seeing your reaction. I looked quite good though."
Aidan ultimately won the award for his flirty exchange with bombshell Elicia, prompting Lorenzo to jest: "I feel robbed!" In his acceptance speech, Aidan confessed: "That was probably my least flirtiest moment! I don't know how I've won this award and Priya, I hope you don't hate me."
Further revelations and fan reactions
Things didn't improve for Aidan as his chat with Jasmine's sister Bella was broadcast. A teaser at the end of the episode hinted that tempers will flare as The Grafties draw to a close. Aidan confronts his brother for divulging their 'private conversation' with Jasmine. It remains uncertain whether Aidan and Priya can recover from what was revealed.
ITV confirmed that viewers can now vote on which couple best fits certain descriptions, including who are most fame hungry and who are sweeping red flags under the rug.
Fans shared their thoughts on social media. One commented: "Aidan tapes at Grafties were diabolical." Another added: "Aiden is actually ridiculous. Why would Jasmine not go straight to Priya?" Someone else posted: "Brother vs brother next episode I'm so excited." While one person replied: "Get Aiden of out the villa I actually can't anymore."
Love Island continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
