Love Island fans have made an urgent plea to ITV bosses as the explosive series finale airs, calling for a major revamp of the show.
Final twist and absent segments
One couple will be crowned Love Island champions tonight (July 27) following a tumultuous series, but not before another brutal twist. Mica and Samraj, who were dumped when former Islanders returned, have been given one final task: they must choose one couple to be dumped straight away, leaving just three couples in the live finale.
As the series concludes, viewers have spotted a marked reduction in challenges this year, particularly the baby challenge and talent show, which were absent. In a Reddit thread titled 'How long will the show continue for?' one person commented: 'I feel like we are definitely coming to its final seasons, I know a lot of people who have stopped watching it due to many reasons. The show is cutting down majorly on challenges, no talent show, no baby challenge, no final dates probably. Everything feels really fake and overproduced.'

One viewer responded: 'Not much longer if they continue with the poor quality. Barely any challenges or games, hardly any dates and only one couple used the hideaway? It's going downhill! They seriously need to fix up.' However, another person commented: 'The show despite the fall off is STILL one of ITV2's most popular and talked about shows so I don't see it going anywhere for a while tbh.'
Over on X, one viewer remarked: 'This series of Love Island had a decent cast but production was p*** poor. No memorable dates, barely any challenges and truly bizarre voting decisions, especially this last plot twist.' Another vented: 'You can tell this season of love island has a low budget because wdym no final dates, no baby challenge, no proper challenges...' A third chimed in: 'Now that the season is nearly over I can say I'm disappointed. Barely any fun challenges, just a load of drama that gets repetitive and boring and then the public has barely had a say or decision on any of it. What was the point?'

A fourth queried: 'is love island filing for bankruptcy OR? ? ? no challenges, no dates and now no final 4?' A fifth pleaded: 'Dear producers never do siblings again, bring back more public votes, more challenges, the talent show cos this was s***!!' A sixth suggested: 'Love island should do more games and challenges during the day. Bring that back.'
