Love Island fans have flooded social media with messages of support for bombshell Priya after she was seen in tears following a distressing confession. The Islander admitted to her fellow contestants that she had nightmares about being hated, leaving viewers emotional.
Priya's emotional breakdown
During Thursday night's episode (June 25), Priya broke down while speaking to the other girls in the villa. She confessed: "I literally had dreams that everyone hated me, it was so bad." Her fellow Islanders, including Angelista and Mica, immediately consoled her, insisting: "So many people love you."
This comes after Priya found herself in the bottom three of the series' first public vote, alongside Tina and Lola. Earlier in the week, viewers voted for their favorite boy and girl, with Ellie and Lorenzo emerging as winners. The bottom six included Priya, Tina, Lola, Tommy, Aidan, and Simba. In a twist, Ellie and Lorenzo were tasked with choosing one boy and one girl to leave, ultimately sending Tommy and Tina home.
Fan reaction on social media
The emotional confession was shared on Instagram, where fans rallied around Priya. One commenter wrote: "Priya you are beautiful and very much loved." Another declared: "Oh my girl we love you babe!" A third added: "I feel sorry for Priya...she can't catch a break."
On X, viewers also expressed their concern. One user posted: "'I literally had a dream, that everyone hated me' aww Priya we love you babe!" Another wrote: "Priya doesn't deserve this treatment at all. they're being so cruel toward her." A third shared: "Priya is gonna leave this place in tears," while another echoed: "Every time I think of Priya and movie night tears come to my eyes, why does she have to be in that position and there is literally no one loyal to her that would back her."
Tensions in the villa
Priya's struggles began when she grew close to Samraj, only for him to rekindle his relationship with ex-flame Mica. During a chat with Jasmine, Priya admitted she felt "misunderstood." Some fans have criticized Mica, labeling her a "game player" after she was seen comforting Priya. One commenter said: "Mica playing the biggest game in there."
Tonight's episode promises more drama as the Islanders continue the game of Tea, Receipts and Truth, with revelations set to leave contestants in disarray. Love Island airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
