Love Island fans were all asking the same question after Sean Fitzgerald broke his social media silence following his departure from the villa. Earlier this week, Lola Deal and Sean Fitzgerald (Fitzy) were compelled to bid their farewells after landing themselves in the bottom three. A previous public vote saw Lorenzo and Julia being declared the favourite couple, meaning they had to select someone to head home.
Sean's TikTok Video Sparks Fan Reactions
Out of Lola and Sean, Martha and Jordon and Mica and Samraj, the duo deliberated over who would be most suitable to send packing, ultimately settling on Lola and Sean due to their already solid bond - a choice that prompted plenty of tears. This came after Lola and Sean volunteered themselves to leave, sparing the others from making the difficult decision.
Having been outside the villa for several days, the pair have been chatting to the press about their stint in the villa and their upcoming plans. However, neither had shared anything on social media, with Lola even switching off comments after receiving vicious messages. But now, Sean has turned to TikTok to post an amusing clip - though fans are fixated on one particular detail, reports OK!.
Fans Question Sean's Energy in the Villa
On TikTok, Sean utilised the audio from Love Island of Julia using a well-known Irish Gaelic phrase that translates to 'kiss my a***'. The expression split fans after Julia clashed with Lola following Casa Amor, which resulted in Lola facing backlash from viewers for her response to the bombshell. But in the TikTok clip, his first since departing the villa, Sean can be seen mouthing along to the words before performing a handstand against a window.
One viewer posted: 'Where was this energy, in the villa?' Another remarked: 'Don't think half of the good energy was shown.' A third questioned: 'Where was this energy in the villa?' A fourth quipped: 'Awww so he does have a personality.'
A fifth declared: 'WE WERE ROBBED OF THIS FITZY during the actual f***** show.' A sixth echoed: 'Bruh why wasnt you like this during the time u was at the villa.' However, one person defended: 'Nah unserious things gets cut out and it gets shown on a Saturday in unseen bit.' Another responded: 'We only see 1 hour out of 24, we don't see everything lol.'
Lola and Sean's Romance Update
Speaking on Love Island's The Debrief this week, Lola and Sean provided an update on their romance. Despite not officially being boyfriend and girlfriend, they confessed they had discovered love in the villa and were prepared to depart. Sean revealed: 'We were saying we wanted to go for a while. We just weren't getting anything from it (being on the show) anymore, and I don't know, it was just getting boring.'
Love Island airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
