Love Island fans have implored showrunners to 'be careful' as they voice worries about an underdog contestant discovering her fellow Islanders' true opinions of her during the upcoming Movie Night segment. Viewers have been engrossed in Season 13 of the dating programme, which initially assembled 12 singletons in the quest for love. Surrey stunner Priya Jaswal made a late entrance into the villa alongside Kavan Murphy.
Priya's Struggle to Find a Connection
While Kavan has managed to form several bonds, Priya has found it difficult to secure a steady partner. She has also been the topic of some harsh discussions within the villa. Earlier in the series, her villa mate Jasmine Muller suggested Priya wasn't 'a girls' girl'. In another conversation, her then-partner Samraj Toor confided in Priya's other close friend, Mica Harris, that he was 'getting the ick'.
Currently, Priya is paired up with Casa Amor lad Jordon Wilson, but she wasn't his initial choice, reports OK!. Jordon has openly expressed his interest in pursuing Jasmine, but Jasmine didn't want to seem disloyal to her long-term partner, Kavan. So she urged Priya to pair up with Jordon to ensure his stay in the villa, despite being aware that Jordon doesn't feel a connection with Priya.
Fans Express Concern on Reddit
With all the covert drama unfolding around her, fans are worried that Priya will be heartbroken if the truth emerges during Movie Night. As viewers will recall, the movie segment typically reveals secret chats Islanders have had around the villa. Expressing their worries on Reddit, one viewer stated: 'Producers need to be careful with Priya on Movie Night.' They continued: 'Think about it. Samraj and Mica ick chat and sneaking around. Mica then encouraging Priya to talk to Samraj knowing that. Jasmine [saying she's] not a girls girl to Kavan. Then Jordon saying he's not attracted to her at all to Jasmine and then Jasmine encouraging her to bring him back.'
The viewer added: 'Who is going to be consoling her? Her current partner will be revealed to be a user, her 2 girl friends clearly don't like her, Samraj is popular in the villa and no one will call him out for it. How does she recover from that? She deserves to see it all but where is her support network in that villa. It's going to be grim viewing if she stands up for herself.'
Supporters Rally Behind Priya
The social media post has attracted over 500 likes and nearly 100 comments. Supporters believe that Priya will require backing if she discovers her co-stars' 'snakey' behaviour. Another supporter highlighted that she might find comfort from fellow Islanders. 'I would hope Ellie, Angie and maybe Yas would have her back through this. They haven't wronged her if my memory is correct,' they shared.
Meanwhile, a third commented: 'I actually need her to be fav girl next time. Or at least not bottom. I feel SO BAD for her and she's had such a rough time.' One final viewer suggested that it might be in the best interest of the producers to exclude these clips from Movie Night entirely. 'I think this compilation of people snaking Priya that y'all want on Movie Night will just be cruel and I don't think we will be seeing it,' they remarked. 'Honestly what good will that do her when she will still be stuck in there with those same people. It's better if she sees it on the outside.'
