Love Island Fans Demand Return of Classic Challenges

Love Island fans are calling for the return of classic challenges, branding the current series 'boring' without them. The ITV dating show is in full swing, with viewers already witnessing recouplings and splits, but many feel something is missing.

Fans Unite in Call for Games

On social media, viewers have voiced their frustration over the lack of challenges. One Facebook user stated: 'Can we please start a petition to bring back the games/Challenges? I don't know why they stopped doing them? But they were absolutely brilliant. BRING THEM BACK.'

Many agreed, with one responding: 'This is what I miss most about the show, I haven't even tuned in to this year's one.' Another added: 'And while we're at it, we'd like secret missions back too, please.'

Viewers Miss the Variety

One viewer wrote: 'I was thinking that last night. I miss the games they used to do.' Another commented: 'Yeah it just broke it up a bit didn't it and gave everyone the same amount of airtime! These days it's literally just drama none stop.'

On a separate Facebook page, viewers argued the current format lacks excitement. One said: 'Why are there no games or challenges? The same old "I just wanted to see how you are/ where your head's at/what are you thinking?"' Another wrote: 'It's actually boring as hell. There are no challenges or games going on, just boring chat.'

Classic Challenges Missed

In previous series, islanders participated in various games and challenges, often outside the villa. These included marathon and relay competitions, firefighter-themed tasks, and dressing up as CEOs. While the heart rate challenge, snog, marry, pie, and firepit games remain, fans want more variety.

Love Island continues weekdays on ITV2 from 9pm.
