Love Island in Crisis as Three More Couples Split Weeks Before Final

Love Island 2019 is facing its worst romance rate in five years after three more couples broke up during last night's episode. Maura Higgins and Lucie Donlan simultaneously ended things with their partners, Marvin and George, citing a lack of chemistry. Pharmacist Anna Vakili also split from Ovie Oko following a row about her ex Jordan Hames, while Michael and Joanna clashed over his past with Amber.

The break-ups come just days after Curtis Pritchard and Amy Hart's dramatic split, which had left the villa shaken. Curtis had developed feelings for another girl during the secret villa twist, ending the 'mum and dad' couple's chances of winning. As a result, only two couples remain: Molly Mae Hague with Tommy Fury, and Jourdan Riane with Danny Williams.

With the final only three weeks away, producers are reportedly 'panicking' about the lack of genuine relationships. ITV plans to run the series for eight weeks from June 3, ending on July 29. Last night, a surprise viewer vote was announced, with the least popular couple facing elimination. All islanders except singles Amber Gill and Jordan Hames are at risk.
