Emotional Exit After Public Vote
Love Island star Ellie Chadwick officially quit the villa during tonight's episode (July 16), following the dumping of her partner Finley Maddock. The dramatic scenes aired after host Maya Jama revealed the results of the latest public vote, which left the Islanders stunned.
Vote Results and Dumping
Maya Jama gathered the Islanders around the firepit to announce the public vote results. Martha, Elicia, and Mica were the three girls with the fewest votes, while Jordan, Finley, and Samraj were the bottom three boys. Elicia and Jordan received the fewest votes overall and were immediately dumped. The remaining Islanders then had to vote to dump one more girl and one more boy.
Ellie's Ultimatum and Departure
Ellie had previously threatened to leave if Finley was voted out. Despite her pleas, the Islanders voted to send Finley and Martha home. Ellie immediately announced her departure, stating, "I'm going guys, I'm doing it." She added, "I told you guys this was the wrong decision." As tensions rose, Ellie declared, "Just leave it f***ing leave it I'm going. The decision is made stop arguing please."
Islanders React
Finley asked Ellie if she was sure, to which she replied, "No one's going to come in, I'm not interested it would be a waste of my time." Lorenzo tried to persuade her to stay, calling her the "most incredible Scottish person" he had ever met, but Ellie insisted, "I'm going and I'm ok with that. I'll wake up tomorrow and I'll be happy."
Background
Ellie, a Scottish Islander, had previously threatened to leave several times after her connection with Finley became entangled in a love triangle with new bombshell Elicia Bailey. The Sun revealed on Wednesday (July 15) that Ellie had made the decision to leave on her own terms. Many viewers were stunned as Ellie and Finley had recently reconciled.
