The Louis Theroux Podcast is returning for a ninth series, with double the output and a new crop of guests including boxer Tyson Fury and Hollywood director Judd Apatow.
The documentarian, 56, will also be sitting down with Monty Python star Eric Idle, actor Vinnie Jones and broadcaster Jon Ronson. He will also speak to poet and performer John Cooper Clarke and author Megan Phelps-Roper, who previously featured on Theroux’s BBC documentary The Most Hated Family In America.
Theroux announces new guests on social media
Theroux posted on social media: “Hey, listen up, losers. You heard me. LOSERS. Because guess what!
“My podcast is back and you really are going to ‘lose’ your minds when you see who the guests are!
“Tyson Fury? Jon Ronson? Naomi Klein? Wait I haven’t finished! Eric Idle. Judd Apatow. I still haven’t finished! Vinnie Jones.
“And in an LTP FIRST we have a CROSSOVER GUEST from one of my TV DOCUMENTARIES: Megan Phelps-Roper, formerly of the Westboro Baptist Church – now a distinguished author and podcaster – talking to us about life inside one of America’s most notoriously weird groups.
“Oh and – try to remain calm! – because now there are even more episodes of the pod.
“Meaning you can keep on ‘losing’ (your minds) over and over again throughout the year. You’re welcome!
“See you on the LTP wherever you get your podcasts (not literally I can’t actually see you)!”

Previous guests include Florence Pugh, Gary Lineker, Boris Becker, Steve Coogan and Malala Yousafzai.
