Wedding Announcement
Rosie Kelly Smith, the daughter of ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly, has revealed that she married her long-term partner Steve White over the weekend. She shared the news on her Instagram story on Tuesday afternoon (28 July 2026), posting a picture of a lavish room in Edinburgh where they were staying, with a crib for their daughter Billie visible.
Rosie wrote: "Well we got married. Decompressing in Edinburgh after the most special weekend of our lives. Will share more soon but taking the time to just soak it all up." The announcement came just days after she told followers that "the wedding countdown is on".
Relationship Background
Rosie, born in 1994, is the only child of Lorraine and her husband Stephen Smith, who married in 1992. Rosie and Steve welcomed their daughter Billie Kelly Smith-White in 2024. Steve proposed to Rosie just two months before Billie's birth, and Rosie had been discussing wedding plans on social media.
Lorraine became a grandmother in 2024 and often shares updates about Billie on her ITV talk show. Rosie has also appeared on TV with her mother, including a 2021 appearance on The Cube to raise money for the MS Therapy Centre.
Lorraine's Delight
While Lorraine has not yet commented on the wedding, she paid a heartfelt tribute to Steve in 2024 after the proposal. On her talk show, she said: "We had a lovely weekend celebrating and he did it properly. He asked for my Steve's permission. When the two of them were by themselves he got down on one knee and did the whole thing properly. He hid the ring in his sock drawer for quite some time. She was so surprised, she had no idea. It's just lovely, so much to look forward to. We're absolutely thrilled and his family are delightful. We met lots more of them at the weekend and they're lovely. I will have a son. I've always wanted a son and I've got a really good one."
Postpartum Experience
In a past appearance on The Life of Bryony podcast with her mother, Rosie opened up about struggling with postpartum anxiety after Billie's birth via planned C-section at 38 weeks. She described a frightening incident during a pram walk when a man threatened to kill Steve in front of their baby. She said: "It was a really bizarre time. So we were walking, one of our first pram walks. I couldn't go out and walk because I was in so much pain from the C-section and from being so tired. No one talks about how painful it is. I didn't want to go out but we did it and I was crossing the road and I was obviously not being able to walk that fast. So this guy started shouting at me and said 'hurry up,' he swore and everything, and then I can't really remember. It was all a bit of a blur but he said something about how he was going to kill Steve and do it in front of our baby because we had the pram and stuff. When we got to the house the police came round and interviewed Steve. I was breastfeeding, boobs were flying, there was a lot going on. Then they went to arrest him. It's nuts."
