Lorraine Kelly has taken to social media after responding to an Emmerdale actor's appeal following her praise for the ITV soap. The daytime TV presenter, a devoted admirer of the soap, hinted at a possible cameo after being invited to the iconic Woolpack pub.
Lorraine's Name Check on Emmerdale
In a recent episode, Emmerdale characters Liam Cavanagh, Kev Townsend, and Ross Barton discussed visiting a pawn shop. Liam mentioned he learned about the shop's record-keeping from ITV's daytime talk programme, Lorraine. The nod delighted Kelly, who posted the clip on Instagram.
“A name check for me on @emmerdale !! How utterly fabulous and hilarious - the look on their faces at the end!” she enthused.
Ash Palmisciano's Invitation
Ash Palmisciano, who plays Matty Barton in Emmerdale, replied to Kelly's post: “Get yourself to the woolpack.” Kelly responded promptly: “It has to happen !!!”
Recent Emmerdale Drama
Recent episodes have been packed with drama, including the return of Chris Coghill as Kev Townsend. Kev first appeared last year as Robert Sugden's secret prison husband, claiming a terminal illness. He later revealed he is Lewis Barton's biological father after a one-night stand with Emma Barton.
After months away, Kev returned when Ross Barton tracked him down selling lemon drizzle cake from a roadside van. Ross enlisted Kev's help to rescue Lewis, who had been abducted by Kev's former partner, Kylie. Kev ultimately told Lewis the truth, leaving both Lewis and Vinny stunned.
Potential Cameo
Kelly's enthusiastic response has sparked speculation about a possible appearance on the soap. Both Lorraine and Emmerdale are available to watch on ITVX. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see if the presenter will make a cameo at the Woolpack.
