Fashion influencer Lorna Luxe, whose real name is Lorna Andrews, has announced the death of her husband John at the age of 64 following a battle with cancer. The couple had been together for 16 years after meeting at a bar in Brighton, despite a 21-year age gap.
In an Instagram post, Lorna wrote: 'My beautiful, brave John died yesterday. I am heartbroken. We were together to the very end, at home, in our own bed and holding hands.' She recalled their last conversation, where John told her he was 'rough but in love'.
John, a former banker, was diagnosed with stage three cancer in April 2023 and underwent chemotherapy. After a period of remission, the cancer returned in May 2024, spreading to his brain and adrenal gland, and was upgraded to stage four. Despite surgery to remove a tumour, further tumours were discovered, and treatment was eventually exhausted.
Lorna, 43, who has 1.6 million Instagram followers, shared the couple's journey publicly, describing John as the 'bravest man' she has ever encountered. She also expressed gratitude to the district nurses who cared for him at home.
