Lorna Luxe, the social media influencer, has announced the death of her husband John Andrews after a battle with cancer. In a heartfelt statement on Instagram, she said: 'My beautiful, brave John died yesterday. I am heartbroken. We were together to the very end, at home, in our own bed and holding hands which is exactly what he wanted.'
John was first diagnosed with adrenal cancer in April 2023. After treatment, he entered remission, but the disease returned in 2024 and spread to his brain. Lorna shared that his last words to her were 'rough but in love', a reflection of his character.
Lorna expressed gratitude to the district nurses who supported them, particularly a nurse named Anna, whom she described as a 'real life angel'. She also thanked her mother for keeping her strong during the difficult time.
Earlier this month, Lorna had revealed that John was extremely unwell and that she had to postpone a charity event. She said: 'John is currently extremely unwell, and right now it isn't the right time for me to be away from his side.'
John's cancer had progressed to other organs after he suffered sepsis over Christmas, and treatment was no longer an option. Despite this, Lorna remained hopeful, saying: 'We can't lose hope. And if there's one thing I know about me and John to be true, we haven't come this far, just to come this far.'
