Lorna Luxe Shares Heartbreaking Update on Husband's Terminal Cancer Battle
Influencer Lorna Luxe has delivered a sorrowful health update concerning her husband, John Andrews, revealing that he is extremely unwell as he continues his fight against terminal cancer. The 43-year-old social media personality, known to her 1.6 million followers, expressed deep regret as she announced the postponement of a charity event, stating she cannot be away from John's side during this critical time.
Charity Fundraiser Postponed Amid Health Crisis
Lorna was scheduled to attend a charity sale at The Alan Hotel in Manchester this weekend, aimed at raising funds for Maggie's Cancer Care and The Meath Epilepsy Charity. However, in a heartfelt social media post, she explained the difficult decision to delay the event. John is currently extremely unwell, and right now it isn't the right time for me to be away from his side, she wrote, apologising for any disappointment caused. All ticket sales will still be donated to the charities, and new event details will be shared in due course.
John Andrews' Cancer Journey and Recent Struggles
John Andrews, who is 21 years older than Lorna, was initially diagnosed with stage four adrenal cancer in April 2023. After a brief period of remission in November 2023, the cancer returned in May 2024, having spread to his brain. Recently, his health has deteriorated further due to complications from chemotherapy, including organ failure and sepsis, leading to a hospital admission before Christmas. Lorna recounted being told to prepare for the worst, but she held onto hope that he would recover in time for the holidays.
Emotional Toll and Future Plans
In an interview with Fabulous Magazine, Lorna opened up about the emotional strain, saying, It's been quite scary because we don't know how long we've got. She admitted that they are living life at a frantic pace, aware of their limited time together. While they have addressed financial planning, the couple has chosen not to discuss funeral arrangements, focusing instead on making the most of their moments. Lorna's brand, LA-Space, continues to support her through this challenging period, with the community's kindness providing much-needed solace.
