Robbie Williams Reveals Secret to Youthful Look: New Teeth

Robbie Williams has credited his youthful appearance to his new teeth, revealing that he avoided smiling for years due to discoloured and damaged teeth from past substance abuse. The 51-year-old singer spoke on Australia's The Project last week, explaining that his 'secret' is his new white veneers.

Williams admitted that he used to smirk rather than smile because his teeth were 'yellow nubs' from years of amphetamine use and raver's lifestyle. He said: 'I smile down. I smirk smile. But I smirk smile because I had yellow nubs. Yellowed because of amphetamines and raver's abuse. So I didn't open my mouth at all.'

The former Take That star took to Instagram last year to reveal his new teeth, writing that his old teeth 'served me well, but I absolutely abused them. Opening bottles with them. Espresso staining them. Rubbing coke on them. Not brushing them properly. Clenching them for 3 whole decades.'

Williams also opened up about his mental health, telling Heart radio that he was at his lowest when recording his hit song 'Feel'. He said: 'When I wrote Feel, I was the most depressed that I've ever been. And I guess I was newly sober, when you're newly sober you're taking away your medicine.'

The song became an international hit, reaching number one in several countries and the top five in the UK. Williams described the track as an attempt to manifest a better life, which he said he eventually achieved.
