Martine McCutcheon has opened up about her heartbreaking experiences with multiple miscarriages during an appearance on Loose Women. The 40-year-old former EastEnders star, who is now mother to 23-month-old Rafferty, spoke candidly about the emotional toll of losing babies before finally giving birth at the age of 38.
McCutcheon described the pain of each loss, saying she felt cheated out of years with her child. She explained that from the moment of conception, she would begin planning the baby's future, making each miscarriage feel devastating.
The actress, married to singer-songwriter Jack McManus, also expressed a desire to expand their family. However, the couple has decided to wait a year before trying again, wanting to fully enjoy their time with Rafferty while he is still young.
McCutcheon added that while she would love another child, she and her husband are taking things one step at a time, joking that they could be 'at it like cat and dog' when the time comes.
