Rebecca Loos has made a dramatic return to reality television on Channel 4's Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, where she faced intense questioning about her past affair with David Beckham. The former personal assistant, who worked for the footballer in 2003, called Beckham a “coward” for failing to address their alleged four-month fling in his Netflix documentary, instead brushing it under the carpet.
Loos, now a yoga teacher living in Norway, told show instructors Jason Fox and Chris Oliver that she has developed a thick skin after a lifetime of public scrutiny. “I’ve been accused of being a liar… I don't shy away from what I've been through,” she said, adding that she believes “telling the truth is the only way to go”. She reflected on her mistakes, stating: “It takes a lot of courage to own up to mistakes… brushing them under the carpet is the coward’s way.”
The mother-of-two admitted she was nervous about how she would be perceived by her fellow recruits and how the show would be edited. However, she praised the production team for being truthful. After the SAS experience, Loos revealed she quit alcohol, describing it as a positive change. “When I came out of the show, I had made some changes in my life,” she said, crediting the course with giving her “SAS grit”.
Loos first came to public attention in 2004 when claims of her affair with Beckham emerged. At the time, Beckham dismissed the reports as “ludicrous” but never pursued legal action. Since then, Loos has appeared on shows such as The Farm and Celebrity Love Island before stepping away from the limelight. Her appearance on Celebrity SAS marks her first major TV role in years.
