Good Morning Britain's Richard Madeley was firmly shut down by Rebecca Loos during a tense exchange on Monday, as she refused to discuss her past claims about David Beckham. Loos appeared on the ITV programme to promote her participation in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, but Madeley repeatedly pressed her about the alleged affair with the former England footballer.
Loos, who first made headlines in 2004 for claiming she had an affair with Beckham—allegations he has consistently denied—expressed frustration that the focus remained on the past scandal. 'It was a little bit disappointing that there was so much focus on him in the interrogation room,' she said, referring to her SAS experience. When Madeley persisted, asking, 'Do you blame him? He was a married man with children,' Loos retorted, 'I think we should just focus on SAS.'
As Madeley attempted one final question on the topic, Loos doubled down: 'I want to talk about SAS, sorry Richard... We don't need to talk about this this morning, we're here for SAS.' The conversation then shifted to her reasons for joining the gruelling reality show, with Loos explaining she wanted to be pushed to her limits and learn more about herself during a period of personal change.
This year's Celebrity SAS cast also includes S Club 7's Hannah Spearritt, Love Island's Tasha Ghouri, and The Traitors champion Harry Clark. Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am, while Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins continues on Channel 4.
