Lola Deal Says Being a WAG Is 'All She Ever Wanted' After Love Island
Lola Deal: Being a WAG Is 'All She Ever Wanted'

Love Island Couple Reach Relationship Milestone

Former Love Island contestants Sean Fitzgerald and Lola Deal have announced the latest development in their relationship, alongside a career update. The duo, who paired up in the opening episode of ITV's 13th series, have remained inseparable ever since.

Despite Sean's wish for a 'test' before Casa Amor and uncertainty surrounding potential bombshell arrivals, nothing could sway their attention. When they ended up in the bottom three after a public vote to select the most popular couple, the primary school teacher and detective found themselves at risk. The decision to eliminate them rested with Lorenzo and Julia, reports OK!.

Departure and Future Plans

Lorenzo became emotional while announcing the verdict, which Sean and Lola themselves had encouraged. They insisted they had already discovered what they were seeking in the villa and were prepared to depart. Now, they've revealed that they've hit a significant milestone in their relationship, but are still not officially 'boyfriend and girlfriend'.

The duo appeared on the latest episode of Love Island The Debrief to discuss their experiences. They confessed that they understood why some fans might have found them 'dull' or 'boring', as there was hardly any drama or conflict between them. Sean added: "We were saying we wanted to go for a while. We just weren't getting anything from it (being on the show) anymore, and I don't know, it was just getting boring."

Meeting Families and Travel Plans

When quizzed about their future plans, Sean confirmed they had reached an important milestone. He said: "Well, we already met your (Lola's) family yesterday and had a nice dinner together." Lola disclosed that Sean was introduced to her parents and her brothers as well. Sean continued: "I think the plan is to do a few bits here and go to Ireland on Saturday, and she'll come meet my family."

Last year's winner, Toni Laites, then asked if it was true that Lola was planning to relocate. She responded: "I'm 100% moving. I think we're going to go travelling for a bit. . . we're going to do Japan, Bali."

Career Update: Gaelic Football and WAG Life

While it remains unclear whether either of them will return to their previous day jobs, Sean did confirm he is continuing one aspect of his career that was thriving before appearing on the show - playing Gaelic football for Galway. Lola confirmed: "When we come back, you've got football for a bit. So we'll work around the dates for football. It's all I've ever wanted (being a WAG)."

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
