TV personality Lizzie Cundy has announced the death of her brother, Peter Miller, at the age of 57. In an emotional Instagram post on Thursday, she shared a black-and-white photo of her sibling and wrote: 'It is with a heavy heart and great sadness to tell you that my brother Peter has died. We as a family are heartbroken. Peter was a much loved son, brother and uncle.'
Cundy, who was married to former Tottenham Hotspur footballer Jason Cundy from 1994 to 2012, described Peter as a 'real character and a kind soul' who worked in theatre and film, loved dogs and supported Chelsea FC. She added: 'Can’t believe he has gone…Rest in peace dear Pete.'
Celebrity friends offered condolences, including Loose Women host Ruth Langsford, who wrote: 'I’m so, so sorry Lizzie. Sending you and your family so much love.' EastEnders star Michelle Collins commented: 'So sorry… awful to lose a sibling.' TV presenter Vanessa Feltz said: 'I send you my deepest condolences.'
Peter's death came two days after Cundy wished her mother, Gloria Miller, a happy 91st birthday on Instagram. Gloria, a former fashion model and friend of Queen Camilla, was married to the late Derek Miller, an art director at Saatchi & Saatchi.
