Liz Hurley has marked her 61st birthday in the only way she knows how – by stunning fans in a tiny yellow bikini while declaring she's happier than ever.
The actress, model and swimwear queen showed off her age-defying figure in a sunshine-yellow two-piece as she celebrated another trip around the sun with a heartfelt message to followers. Posing outdoors with a colourful tie-dye towel, the Austin Powers beauty reflected on getting older and admitted she once worried life would become less exciting with age.
But according to Liz, the exact opposite has happened, as she wrote: "Happy Birthday to me!"
She wowed in her yellow bikini. "I used to fear that as every year passed, my life might get less exciting and I'd get more and more world weary… but I'm pleased to tell you that if you hang on in and keep your chin up, nothing could be further from the truth."
The star went on to gush about the people closest to her and insisted she feels incredibly lucky at this stage in her life. "I am LOVING my life today," she said.
"I'm truly blessed and grateful to be surrounded by the most extraordinary friends and family, all of whom make my life a whole lot better and whom I love with all of my heart."
Liz also thanked the loyal army of fans who have followed her career over the decades. "I'd also like to say a HUGE thank you to the best fans and followers in the world for your loyalty and kindness. This year has been a helluva ride already and I can't wait to see what's next."
Among those sending birthday wishes was her boyfriend Billy Ray Cyrus. The Achy Breaky Heart singer left a sweet public message underneath the post, writing: "Love love love. So proud of you. Can't wait for the next chapter."
The pair went public with their romance last year after being friends for many years, with fans initially shocked by the unlikely celebrity coupling. But they have continued to go from strength to strength and regularly share glimpses of their relationship online.
While Liz was celebrating her birthday in style, Billy Ray has also been reflecting on his own future. The country star recently admitted he has been rebuilding his life following his split from ex-wife Firerose and is now looking firmly ahead.
