Liverpool ONE is set to transform into a seaside-inspired destination this summer, offering six weeks of free family-friendly activities, attractions, and events throughout the school holidays. The programme includes the return of popular events such as Beach Fest at Chavasse Park and the Tickle the Ivories piano festival, alongside interactive experiences, outdoor entertainment, and games.
Beach Fest Returns to Chavasse Park
Expected to be one of the area's biggest attractions, Beach Fest will run from July 18 to August 31. It will see Chavasse Park transformed with an urban sandy beach, family rides, and entertainment for all ages. According to organisers, the event is designed to create a vibrant seaside atmosphere in the heart of Liverpool.
Tickle the Ivories Marks 16th Year
Music lovers can enjoy the return of Tickle the Ivories, running from July 10 to September 11. Now in its 16th year, the free festival invites amateur and professional pianists to perform on street pianos across Liverpool ONE. This year's event features a piano design inspired by Bootle-born classical musician Brad Kella, alongside new designs by local artists based on the theme 'Music and Memories'. A special piano will also pay tribute to Gerry Jones, a long-standing supporter who died earlier this year.
Minton Tile Trail and ChessFest
History and art enthusiasts can join the free Minton Tile Trail from July 17 to September 2. Visitors can collect a trail map from the Information Centre, explore participating locations, and create their own historic tile design. Completed designs will be showcased at St George's Hall. Chess players of all abilities are welcome at ChessFest on July 19, featuring giant outdoor chess boards, live demonstrations, and interactive sessions in Chavasse Park.
