Lisa Riley's fiancé, Al, has brushed off her admitted crush on Ant McPartlin, joking that it's just 'showbusiness'. The Emmerdale star, currently appearing on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, caused laughter in camp when she described Ant as 'juicy' and 'tastier' than Dec.
During a conversation with rapper Aitch, Riley said: “Ant is way tastier, oh god Ant is juicy.” She later clarified: “You can go to Chanel, you don't have to buy anything, you can look, I am very, very happily settled in a relationship with my Al, but I can still have a look.”
Al, who has been with Riley for 11 years and engaged since 2018, reacted with humour upon arriving in Australia to support her. “There is no business like showbusiness, right? It’s all good. I have no fears of her letting me go,” he said at Brisbane Airport.
He added that he is proud of her and looking forward to meeting her on the jungle bridge. “Hopefully not the first one out. Hopefully at the end,” he said.
Riley, 49, has previously said she and Al are unlikely to marry despite their engagement. She also joked about Al teasing her about potential flatulence in the jungle, referencing actress Celia Imrie's character in Traitors.
