Former Emmerdale star Lisa Riley revealed an impressive six-stone weight loss this week, joining a list of celebrities who have undergone dramatic body transformations. The 39-year-old dropped from a size 30 to a size 16 in ten months by adopting a healthier lifestyle rather than following a fad diet.
Speaking to Bella magazine, Riley said: 'I’ve not done a diet – diets don’t work. It’s been about awareness and lifestyle.' She now wakes at 6am for a 40-minute walk, does Zumba and yoga, avoids eating after 6pm, and has given up alcohol entirely.
Former TOWIE star Lauren Goodger lost four stone using a US fitness system called Plyo-dynamics, which involves high-intensity jumping exercises. She also overhauled her diet after admitting she sometimes ate two McDonald's meals a day. Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattison shed pounds through moderation, telling the Mirror: 'Be good 70-80% of the time and for the rest, let your hair down.'
Reality star Khloe Kardashian, once labelled the 'fat Kardashian', turned to fitness as therapy after her relationship breakdown. She started slowly and now works out four to five days a week. Actor Chris Pratt lost three and a half stone for his role in Guardians of the Galaxy, dropping from 21 stone, and noted the weight loss improved his mental health.
