Lisa Faulkner Reveals Breast Cancer Diagnosis, Surgery

TV presenter Lisa Faulkner has revealed that she was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer and has undergone surgery. The 54-year-old, who co-hosts John and Lisa's Weekend Kitchen with her husband John Torode, shared the news in a video on Instagram on Thursday afternoon.

Diagnosis and Surgery

Faulkner explained that she had been quiet on social media because she needed surgery. "I just wanted to come on because I know I've been quiet on here. The reason being, that I've had to have surgery because I've had the very early stages of breast cancer. I had surgery two weeks ago and it was quite a big op," she said.

The surgery was successful, and Faulkner confirmed that all cancer was removed. "But it's all good and I've had my results back and they've got everything out so it's all clear," she added.

She will undergo radiotherapy in a few weeks as a precaution. "I just need now to have some radiotherapy in a few weeks. I just wanted to say I've got a bit of healing to do but I'm good, I'm well and feeling so much better," Faulkner said.

She expressed gratitude for attending her mammogram and urged others not to delay screenings. "I'm so grateful that I went for my mammogram. Don't put them off - go!" she emphasized.
