Lily Allen looked incredible in a tiny black two-piece bikini during a dip in a lake in Switzerland, sharing the moment on Instagram with the caption: "Having a lovely time." The 41-year-old singer has been soaking up the sun in Europe, with visits to Switzerland and Germany, before she resumes the North American leg of her West End Girl tour in September.
Tour Success and Controversy
Allen has been riding high on the success of her hit 2025 album West End Girl, which deals with her explosive split from Stranger Things star David Harbour. The Smile hitmaker was recently honoured with the Icon Award at the Silver Clef Awards.
However, her theatre show sparked criticism from a fan who attended one of the performances at the O2. The fan posted on X, formerly Twitter: "No support act, arrived on stage at 9:10pm, all wrapped up by 10 p.m. Not one word to the audience, £86 to sit in the gods."
Allen's Response
Allen revealed she was a little late due to a wardrobe issue. She responded: "There is a support act. The show has always been advertised as 'Lily Allen performs West End Girl.' I was a few mins late as my tights were laddered and I had to change them. The show is just over an hour as it's just the album in its entirety."
She added: "It's my artistic choice not to talk to the audience, the fourth wall helps with the storytelling. Most people find it to be effective. I don't want anyone to feel ripped off. Everyone on this tour is really working very hard to give people the best show we possibly can, and I'm extremely proud of it."
The fan insisted the comments weren't supposed to sound as savage as they'd intended, saying they were "framed in a negative way (my fault)," and that they actually found the "performance was brilliant." They did, however, add that Allen not even thanking fans at the end was "a bit weird." Allen conceded: "I'd happily concede that I'm a bit weird, though."
Silver Clef Awards
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Silver Clef Awards, the largest annual fundraising event of music therapy charity Nordoff and Robbins. Since 1976 it has raised over £17 million for music therapy.
