Lily Allen stepped out in style at the Royal Academy of Arts summer party in London, just hours after her ex-husband David Harbour broke his silence on her latest album, West End Girl.
Glamorous Appearance
The singer looked stunning as she arrived at the glittering event wearing a figure-hugging black mesh maxi gown. She accessorized with a lilac feather boa and white platform shoes, posing for photographers alongside her friend and stylist Marco Capaldo. The bash was also attended by Claudia Winkleman, Pixie Geldof, Alex Jones, and Munya Chawawa.
Album Details
Allen's record West End Girl has captivated audiences worldwide and explores the breakdown of her marriage to the Stranger Things star. The tracks delve into how the relationship fell apart as they experimented with non-monogamy. One track, Madeline, features lyrics seemingly accusing Harbour of a three-year affair with an acquaintance, violating the terms of their open marriage. Allen described the album as "a mixture of fact and fiction," but many interpret it as a largely truthful portrayal.
Harbour's Response
In a recent interview with Variety, Harbour dismissed the record, saying, "It was weird. I do believe that it is the privilege of every artist to use their experience to create art, and so I respect her for doing that. I can't really say that much more, because it's my private life." He added, "Stories are complex, and that's why I say I respect her creation of art to channel her experience. It wasn't my experience."
New Relationship
Since her breakup, Allen has revealed she is now dating Jonah Freud, who is 12 years her senior. The couple was recently photographed enjoying a romantic getaway in Rome.
