Lily Allen confirms new romance after David Harbour split

Singer Lily Allen has confirmed she is in a new relationship, telling Grazia magazine that she now has a boyfriend. The 40-year-old, who split from actor David Harbour in late 2024, made the admission while attending the Valentino Beauty party in Soho.

When asked who she had last texted, Allen reportedly squealed 'My boyfriend' before breaking into giggles. The confirmation follows months of speculation after she was seen enjoying a quiet dinner with writer Jonah Freud, 28, in November. Freud later attended her Christmas party at Stringfellows, and the pair were seen being affectionate on a night out last month.

Allen's split from Harbour, 50, came amid rumours of infidelity. Her latest album has been widely interpreted as referencing his alleged unfaithfulness and struggles with sex addiction, with lyrics alluding to a broken 'arrangement' regarding discretion. Neither Allen nor Harbour has publicly commented on the claims.

Freud, who is very private and keeps his social media accounts private, comes from a prominent cultural family. He is the great-great-grandson of psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud and the son of PR mogul Matthew Freud. His mother, Caroline Hutton, is the former wife of Princess Diana's brother, Charles Spencer.

Allen had previously told Vogue in October that she was not prioritising dating, saying she was in a period of self-discovery and needed to 'break some patterns'. However, she recently expressed compassion for her ex-husband, noting that her children had an 'amazing experience' living in America. Harbour has been seen with another woman in New York, though it is unclear if he has moved on seriously.
