Liam Payne's sister Ruth has shared an emotional tribute to her late brother, saying she misses him 'so much'. The One Direction star died aged 31 after falling from his hotel balcony in Argentina in October. In a social media post, Ruth shared a childhood picture with Liam and captioned it: 'Oh mate, the best was yet to come. You're missing so much.'
It comes weeks after she marked one year since his funeral, describing it as 'the hardest goodbye I'll ever have'. In an open letter, Ruth admitted she underestimated grief and is 'paralysed by it daily'. She revealed recurring nightmares of Liam's final moments, writing: 'My brain is locked on your last minutes on this earth.'
Ruth also expressed a desire for just five more minutes with her brother, saying she would tell him jokes. She urged the public to remember the human side of the tragedy, noting that Liam leaves behind a son, parents and siblings. 'I am lost without my brother,' she wrote, signing off: 'Love always Liam, in every lifetime.'
Liam's other sister, Nicola, had previously shared a 2019 post celebrating his solo album, expressing pride in his achievements. The family continues to grieve privately.
