Danielle Peazer, the former girlfriend of Liam Payne, has shared an emotional tribute to the One Direction star following his sudden death at the age of 31. Payne died after falling from the third-floor balcony of his hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, while on holiday.
Taking to Instagram, Peazer posted a throwback photo of the pair enjoying ice cream together, along with a lengthy message. She described Payne's death as 'incomprehensible' and expressed her heartbreak for his son Bear, his parents and sisters. 'The thought that there is now a child growing up without one of their parents is heartbreaking and unfair,' she wrote.
Peazer, who dated Payne from 2010 to 2013, recalled their long-standing connection over 14 years, noting they 'could disagree on so many things yet still look out for each other in times of need'. She revealed she received a message from him 'a couple of weeks ago expressing his happiness for the love I found with Sonny and Mia', referring to her current partner, ex-Capital FM DJ Sonny Jay, and their child.
In her tribute, Peazer also thanked Payne for teaching her about setting boundaries and protecting her heart. She concluded: 'I'm sorry your story didn't end differently... Rest easy my friend.' The pair had reunited briefly in 2022, nine years after their split, and were seen together at London venues including Nobu Hotel and Chiltern Firehouse.
