Liam Payne's Ex Danielle Peazer 'Felt Safe' With New Partner After 'Mistreatment'

Liam Payne's former girlfriend Danielle Peazer has spoken about feeling 'safe' in her current relationship, in comments that some have interpreted as a subtle dig at the late One Direction star. Peazer, a dancer and influencer, dated Payne for two years from 2010, when he was 16 and she was a backing dancer on The X Factor.

Payne, who died aged 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, was 'really devastated' by their split, he said at the time. The couple briefly reconciled in 2022, nine years after their breakup, but the reunion did not last.

In an Instagram video last year, Peazer said: 'After years of mistreatment, I learned that the reason I'd accepted so little from guys is because I hadn't put in the work on myself to discover my boundaries, find my confidence and also know my worth.' She added that with her current partner, former Capital FM DJ Sonny Jay, she had 'never felt safety in a relationship like this'.

Peazer and Sonny Jay, who won Dancing on Ice in 2021, announced the birth of their daughter in May this year. Payne, who had a seven-year-old son Bear with Cheryl Cole, had been dating US model Kate Cassidy before his death.
