Liam Gallagher has moved to clarify a video that went viral showing him apparently mocking a young Manchester United fan at the FA Cup final. The Oasis frontman was seen celebrating wildly after Ilkay Gundogan scored the winner for Manchester City at Wembley, before appearing to tease a boy in a United shirt sitting in front of him.
Gallagher took to social media to explain the interaction, insisting the youngster is the son of a friend. He wrote: 'The young lad I was apparently antagonising was my mates kid who I was consoling he’s a Utd fan I love and adore him we’re not all c**** CTID LG x'.
City secured a 2-1 victory over their local rivals, with Gundogan scoring both goals to clinch the trophy. Pep Guardiola's side are now one win away from a historic treble, facing Inter Milan in the Champions League final in Istanbul after already winning the Premier League title.
Guardiola said after the FA Cup triumph: 'We can now talk about the Treble. Of course we still have to win the Champions League.' Kevin De Bruyne added that there is no pressure on the team, saying: 'We’ve had a great season already and I think we’re going to try and be as ready as best we can be.'
