Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi has revealed he was snubbed by Justin Bieber after meeting the Canadian pop star at a Hollywood party. Capaldi, who mingled with celebrities including Charli XCX at the Los Angeles bash, initially bonded with Bieber, who even knew his name.
Speaking on Capital Breakfast, Capaldi said: 'Me and Bieber have this super night, this really lovely evening together... He’s like “make sure I get your number tomorrow.”' However, after texting Bieber a message calling the encounter 'so special', Capaldi received only a 'like' with no reply. 'Bieber aired me,' he added.
The snub comes amid concern for Bieber's wellbeing after he posted photos on social media wearing only see-through white Calvin Klein boxer shorts, emerging from a lake. Fans expressed worry, with one commenting: 'Hailey come get your husband.'
Capaldi, who recently won a Brit Award, remains hopeful for a response, urging: 'If you’re out there Bieber, text me back!'
