The Royal Family gathered in force this weekend, but one young member stole the spotlight. Lena Tindall, the seven-year-old daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall, captivated attendees and online viewers alike at the wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling on Saturday.
A Day of Celebration in Cirencester
Princess Anne's son, Peter Phillips, married Harriet Sperling in a private ceremony at All Saints Parish Church in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. The King and Queen led the royal arrivals, joined by the Prince and Princess of Wales, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie. Also present were Zara Tindall, her husband Mike, and their two eldest daughters, Mia, 12, and Lena, seven.
Lena's Unicorn Umbrella Steals the Show
As the family waited for a car to take them to the wedding reception, Lena was seen gleefully playing with her unicorn umbrella, twirling it and dancing in the rain. The moment quickly went viral, with fans noting her carefree joy. Hello! Magazine shared a video captioned: “Lena Tindall is the new Prince Louis with rebellious umbrella dance at Peter Phillips' wedding.”
Royal enthusiasts flooded social media with comparisons to Prince Louis, known for his own show-stealing antics at royal events. One user wrote on X: “Lena Tindall is just living her best life in the rain and I am all for it.” Another added: “It would have been more iconic if boss baby Prince Louis joined her.” A third commented: “She and Prince Louis are probably quite a pair!”
Other reactions included: “lol she’s the Louis of that family,” “Lena really said 'main character energy' and showed up with a unicorn umbrella,” and “Imagine Lena & Prince Louis together!” None of the Wales children attended the Cotswolds wedding.
A Touching Tribute
The wedding service was led by the Reverend Dr Steve Bullock of All Saints Parish Church, Kemble, with the marriage blessing and address by the Reverend Nicky Gumbel. A hidden tribute to Queen Elizabeth II was also noted at the event.
Lena Tindall’s joyful demeanor and unicorn umbrella have now made her a fan favorite, echoing the spirit of her younger cousin, Prince Louis.
