Thompson discussed the breakup on his podcast Staying Relevant, comparing himself to a plane whose pilot has blacked out. He said he felt 'terrified' and lacked direction. Brunson advised him to reconnect with his own interests and not rush into anything.
The dating expert, also Tinder’s Global Relationship Insights lead, recommended getting comfortable with rejection and viewing dating as an adventure. He told the Mirror: 'Every ‘no’ gets you closer to a ‘yes’.' Thompson has been supported by his sister Louise Thompson and brother-in-law Ryan Libbey, who live next door.
McDermott has reportedly moved on with former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson. The pair were seen on a date in Suffolk. Thompson and McDermott split after spending Christmas and New Year apart, with a source saying they still care for each other.
