Lee Andrews has appeared to take a swipe at his ex Katie Price after she ended their marriage, with reports suggesting he is now looking for a "much younger model."
Katie and Lee tied the knot in January, but she confirmed last month that she had ended things with him. Lee was behind bars in Dubai for months, but he has now confirmed that he has been released from jail. He told followers on Wednesday (October 7) that he had to shave his head in "the most notorious prison in Dubai."
Reported text message
The 43-year-old is now reportedly "looking for a much younger model" after being dumped by Katie, 48. In a text shared by the Daily Mail, Lee allegedly said: "I’m on the look out for a much younger model. As I feel I’d be more appreciated with a partner late 20s early 30s with prospects already on the horizon."
He reportedly said he wouldn't be proposing to anyone anytime soon as he's still married to Katie and doesn't want to "embarrass" her. The alleged text concluded: "However I won’t be acting on any proposals as I remain still married but not together with Katie.. wouldn’t embarrass us this way as I’d keep all my personal affairs private."
Prison ordeal
Lee recently opened up about his prison ordeal. He said on Instagram: "Right I haven’t made a public appearance yet, so here we are. They got me good, look (showing off buzz cut). I had to shave it cos obviously I’m freshly out of jail aka the most notorious jail in Dubai. I’m out of jail now just got to get out the country."
He added: "I can’t whistleblow from here but I will be doing eventually. I need to say something about the terrible ordeal I was in and in order to get to the person I needed to get to to get out, I needed to shave my head to get past it, so there it is, sporting it again – it’ll grow back. No I don’t have a wig or a system, it’s just me. Not too bad, it’s alright, it’ll do for now."
Katie's response
Katie recently discussed her split from Lee on ITV's Good Morning Britain. She said: "I love him… but who is he? I love the man I met. I can’t take it. I was stupid to fall for him. It’s really sad."
The mum-of-five said she discovered that he only had £2.22 in his cryptocurrency wallet, despite claiming he had millions in it. Lee has claimed that he did have the funds and that Katie was looking at the wrong account.
Asked by hosts Ed Balls and Susanna Reid if she thought Lee loved her too, she replied: "I do believe he did. I think he’s got himself in such a situation… where he copy and pastes what he says to women… I do believe he’s fallen for me."
Katie insisted Lee never took any money from her, but said: "I feel like he scammed my heart and stole my trust that I had, and me defending a man constantly because he made me believe that, 'Kate, come on, you know I’m not like this.'"
She told the show she still loved Lee but could no longer trust him. In a voicenote played on GMB, Lee insisted "there's been no wool pulled over anyone's eyes". He also insisted that he was in "civil jail" and that he hadn't been convicted of any crimes.
