Lee Andrews is allegedly pulling out all the stops to keep his marriage to Katie Price going, following his month-long stint in one of Dubai's most notorious jails. The self-styled millionaire, 43, vanished for three weeks after allegedly being held at gunpoint before being taken to prison. He was eventually released from the infamous Al Awir prison last month, after a failed campaign from Katie, 48, to get him out.
Reunion and Demands for Answers
Since being reunited, Lee and Katie have spent significantly more time together, with Katie even skipping work commitments to be with him. However, she insisted she wanted explanations after branding Lee the "most hated man in Britain." Lee, who is now flaunting a sudden new head of hair, has been posting on Instagram, sharing AI videos of his reported time in jail, despite Katie revealing to followers she was petrified by his weeks of silence, according to the Mirror.
Strategy to Salvage Marriage
It has now been claimed Lee's shenanigans are all part of his strategy to salvage his marriage. A source alleged to know how the businessman operates told The Sun: "Lee desperately hopes that by leaning into the public backlash and laughing at himself, it'll deflect from the gravity of everything he's been accused of. From multiple counts of fraud and being abusive towards an ex-girlfriend, to endless lies about his career and personal wealth."
The source added that Lee, who never turns down the chance to gush over his 'gorgeous' wife, is frantically attempting to mend his tarnished image following his vanishing act. They described it as "scary" how the so-called 'Walter Mitty' character could alter the narrative, stating: "It's scary how good at this he is, as Katie seems to have forgiven him, despite the hell he put her through – but that's what conmen do. They make you question your doubts about them by reducing everything to a joke."
Katie's Trust Issues and Lifestyle
Katie, who appears to have forgiven Lee for the ordeal, confesses she struggles with trust in her new documentary. Discussing her ill-fated love life, she says: "I trust my family, and I find it hard to trust anyone. That's why my circle is so small these days. I don't need more friendships or anything. I'm happy with how it is." Regarding her lifestyle, she adds: "I just don't think anyone can change me. I say to my mum all the time. I'm 48. I'm never going to change. I am what I am. Just get used to it. She'll say: 'Why do you do this? Why do you do that?' and I'll say: 'Mum, just let me be me.'"
