Lee Andrews, the husband of Katie Price, has announced plans to move to the UK despite reports that he remains subject to a travel ban in Dubai. The 43-year-old self-styled businessman made the claim in a Cameo video after weeks of insisting he would soon fly to Britain, even as reports suggest he cannot leave the UAE due to unresolved legal matters.
Lee Andrews' Cameo Video Statement
In the video, later shared on TikTok, Andrews said: "I will be coming to the UK, despite what everyone's saying... I'm on my way soon, so I'll be giving Dubai up a little bit." The comments follow a period in which Andrews disappeared from public view and later claimed he spent about a month in Dubai's Al Awir prison.
Fraud Allegations and Travel Ban
Authorities in the UAE are investigating allegations of fraud against Andrews, though he denies these claims and insists he was detained over espionage suspicions. He has also rejected reports that he fraudulently obtained a mortgage in the name of his former fiancée, Dina Taji. In a recent social media video, Andrews stated: "There's not one shred of evidence where I've taken a mortgage in somebody else's name, particularly in my ex fiancée's name Dina. If I was to take a mortgage in somebody else's name, wouldn't she get that mortgage?... That's definitely not the case."
The Daily Mail previously reported that Dina took legal action against Andrews, resulting in a travel ban in Dubai. It has also been reported that he could face further legal action if outstanding debts are not settled.
Feud with Susanna Reid
Andrews has also reignited his feud with Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid after she described him as a "conman" during a discussion about his disappearance. Responding on Instagram, Andrews said he wanted to confront Reid on the ITV programme. He expressed hope to appear on the GMB sofa with wife Katie Price to "thrash it out" and added that Reid should lose her job for her remarks.
Post-Prison Update
Since his release from prison, Andrews has posted videos addressing the allegations and sharing updates. He claimed his time in jail took a physical toll, posting a gym video and writing: "Back to building up the 9kgs I just lost last month."
