Lee Andrews, Katie Price's estranged husband, has spoken publicly for the first time since his release from Dubai's Al-Awir prison. He was detained for months over alleged unpaid debts, including £15,000 owed to a law firm.
Release and social media changes
Andrews was quietly released earlier this week. He has since unfollowed Katie on Instagram, where she was previously his only follower. His biography now reads: "Britains bad boy." He has also removed all traces of Katie from his profile, though his Story highlights, including their wedding and engagement, remain visible.
Lee's first public statement
Taking to Instagram on October 7, Andrews did not address his marriage but focused on his release. He said: "Right I haven't made a public appearance yet, so here we are. They got me good, look (showing off buzz cut)."
He added: "I had to shave it cos obviously I'm freshly out of jail aka the most notorious prison in Dubai." Andrews continued: "I can't whistleblow from here but I will be doing eventually. I need to say something about the terrible ordeal I was in and in order to get to the person I needed to get to to get out, I needed to shave my head to get past it, so there it is, sporting it again – it'll grow back."
He also noted: "No I don't have a wig or a system, it's just me. Not too bad, it's alright, it'll do for now."
Return to Cameo and background
Andrews has returned to Cameo, where he is selling personalised videos for £40.73, or £739.89 for business customers. His biography on the platform describes him as a "recognised featured public figure" with media and reality TV experience.
During his detention, Katie accused him of "scamming her heart" and claimed he lied about the price of diamonds he was buying her. The final straw came when he allegedly lied about funds in his cryptocurrency wallet, claiming he had millions when the amount was £2.22. Sources claim Katie "came to her senses" after this. Katie has not commented on Lee's release.
