Lee Andrews accused of faking his own death

Katie Price's ex-husband Lee Andrews has been accused of attempting to fake his own death by another of his exes, Alana Percival, who claims she knows why he would pull such a stunt. The accusation came just hours after Andrews returned to social media for the first time since leaving prison in Dubai.

Alana, who dated Lee shortly before he met and married Katie, took to Instagram with a screenshot of a disturbing post in which Lee's 'death' was announced. The black and white photo of Lee claimed he had 'tragically died'.

The message read: "With a huge heart of sadness and this heartfelt message, we say our final goodbyes to this beautiful soul. 'To our loving Lee' who has tragically passed away."

Alana's response to the death announcement

Alana then added over a black background: "To everyone messaging me asking if Lee has passed away... I don't know... Lee lies so so much and told me he was dying once (which was a lie) so I don't know what to believe seeing this!"

She continued: "He is a very unwell person and is someone that would do this for attention or planning something, or trying to make people feel sorry for him. He is sick regardless. But the answer is, I don't know..."

Claims of hacking and attention-seeking

Alana later returned to Instagram to address claims that Lee had been hacked, saying: "Says he's been hacked... more like wasn't getting a lot of Instagram views so wanted some sort of attention and views, soon he'll be showing you all his insights saying 'thank you for all the support'. F***ing sick sick man."

She added: "Hacked and back within an hour. Man thinks everyone is thick. Everyone sees through this. He has deep serious issues. I just received 100s of messages with this and within 10 mins and me already saying it won't be true after he uses this stunt when he isn't getting enough attention like he did with me, if this didn't show you how poorly this man really is then you got something wrong with you!!!"

No post about Lee dying can currently be seen on his Instagram page, nor can anything saying he's been hacked. The Mirror went to Lee for comment.

Return to social media after prison release

This comes just hours after Lee returned to social media for the first time since leaving prison. He had been detained in Al-Awir prison in Dubai, but was released and soon posted to Instagram with a picture of him in a sauna with his father. He later shared a video, where he said he was trying to get out of Dubai and would be a "whistleblower" once he was in a new country.

"Right, I haven't made a public appearance yet," he said. "They got me. They got me good." After his first stint in jail, during which Lee's hair was completely shaved off, he was seen just days later with a new head of hair that turned out to be fake.

"I have a system, or hair system, whatever, I had to shave it," he confirmed, adding: "I'm freshly out of jail, a.k.a. the most notorious prison in Dubai, Al Awir. God, don't go against the system, guys, because they will bury you."

Lee went on to add: "I'm out of jail now, just need to get out of the country. I can't whistle-blow from here, but I will be doing eventually. At least say something about the terrible ordeal that I was in. And in order to get to the person that I needed to get out, I needed to shave my head to get past, so yeah. Sporting it again, it'll grow back. No, I don't have a wig or a system, it's just me – not too bad though, it's all good, it'll do for now."
