Lauryn Goodman's Stalker Arrested After Year of Harrowing 'Creepy Calls'
Lauryn Goodman, the former reality TV star and mother of two, has endured a terrifying stalking ordeal for nearly a year, culminating in the arrest of a suspect by Hampshire Police. The 35-year-old, who gained public attention due to her affair with England footballer Kyle Walker, reported receiving disturbing late-night phone calls from a private number while her young children slept.
Escalating Threats and Desperate Measures
The situation escalated to such an extent that Goodman felt compelled to hire bodyguards to protect her home and family. A source close to the matter revealed to The Sun, "This has been horrendous for Lauryn. She is relieved that the police have made an arrest but the fact this happened in the first place scares her." The calls, described as "creepy" and involving heavy breathing or whispering, occurred at any hour, often as late as 3 a.m., leaving Goodman deeply shaken.
"It's knocked her for six," the source added. "She has zero idea how they managed to get her number and she is changing it. Lauryn has a number that loads of people have but this second phone is one she has kept for privacy reasons. She rarely gives it to anybody. It makes it more scary." Goodman, mother to five-year-old Kairo and two-year-old Kinara, suspects the stalking may have originated from the gossip website Tattle Life, though this claim remains unverified.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Hampshire Police confirmed they are investigating unwanted phone calls reported between August and September last year. A spokesman stated, "As part of enquiries, police have arrested a 34-year-old woman on suspicion of stalking. She has been bailed until May 25 as the investigation continues." This development marks a significant step in ending the abuse Goodman has faced since last August.
Background of Public Scrutiny and Legal Battles
The stalking incident follows Goodman's highly publicized affair with Kyle Walker, which left his wife, Annie Kilner, devastated. After it emerged that Walker fathered both of Goodman's children, Kilner sought legal advice for a divorce. During this period, in 2024, Goodman received legal letters from the couple accusing her of harassment.
In an interview on the Your Sincerely podcast with Lisa Andrews, Goodman disclosed, "I've been kind of threatened in a different way. I know that in 2021 and in I think it was 2022 I had legal letters from the other side claims for harassment." She continued, "They came not for publication obviously because they probably wouldn't want anyone to know. But my letters back were for publication. As in 'I don't mind I'm just gonna put it out there.'"
Goodman further explained, "And basically I said that they had no claims, they had no harassment claims, and then I'm literally seeing in the paper again 'oh we're monitoring everything she is doing through our lawyers' and you know 'we're gonna have a public..' it said something about 'we're gonna make her publicly embarrassed,' or something along those lines and 'we're gonna do her for harassment civilly'."
The Mirror has reached out to Lauryn Goodman for additional comment on the recent arrest. This case highlights the severe impact of stalking on victims, especially those already under intense public scrutiny.
