Lauren Sánchez has sparked debate with a cryptic Instagram post, just as reports emerge that she and Jeff Bezos have sent out wedding invitations for a summer ceremony in Venice, Italy. The former TV anchor shared a pencil sketch of a nude woman on an airplane wing, captioned simply 'Mood.'
The post arrived as news broke that the couple will marry in Venice, chosen to match the scale of their lavish love story and Bezos's $190 billion fortune. The invitation news was first reported by Dylan Byers on X.
Bezos and Sánchez got engaged in May 2023, with Sánchez debuting a 20-carat diamond ring worth an estimated $2.5 million. Despite rumors of a December 2023 winter wedding in Aspen, the date passed without ceremony. Instead, they celebrated with a yacht party in Positano.
In a Vogue interview, Sánchez recalled Bezos proposing by hiding the ring under a pillow. 'When he opened the box, I think I blacked out a bit,' she said. She confirmed she will take his name, adding, 'I am looking forward to being Mrs. Bezos.'
