Lauren Goodger cuts holiday short due to 'terrifying' anxiety attacks

Lauren Goodger has revealed that she was forced to cut a holiday short after experiencing 'terrifying' anxiety attacks. The Only Way Is Essex star, 38, shared her struggles on Instagram, apologising to fans for being 'MIA' and explaining that the anxiety became overwhelming.

In a series of Instagram stories, Goodger wrote: 'Sorry I've been MIA. My holiday was cut short due to severe anxiety - it was overwhelming. But I'm proud I pushed through, even when it got tough. Now that I'm home, I've got a lot of work to do on myself. Those 2 days of anxiety attacks were terrifying.'

Goodger, who has a four-year-old daughter named Larose with Charles Drury, has been open about her mental health struggles since the death of her second daughter, Lorena, shortly after birth in 2022. She has credited Larose with helping her through the trauma, saying: 'I'll be completely honest, the reason I got through it all is because of Larose. She has kept me going and without her I probably wouldn't be here.'

Earlier this year, Goodger returned as a permanent cast member of TOWIE and went on her first trip abroad in five years with the cast to Portugal. She described the trip as a 'huge deal' due to her severe trauma and anxiety. Following her recent setback, she assured fans she is focusing on self-care and healing.
