Lacey Turner's Memoir 'Gold Dust' Promises No-Nonsense Stories

EastEnders legend Lacey Turner has announced her debut memoir, Gold Dust: My Life (So Far) with the Women Who Shaped Me, set for release on October 22, 2026. The book promises to be an 'empowering, no-nonsense' account of her life, focusing on the influential women who have shaped her journey.

Behind the Scenes of a Soap Icon

Turner, who has portrayed Stacey Slater for 20 years on and off, shared the news on Instagram with a photo of the book cover. She wrote: 'Well… this is a bit surreal. I've spent the last year looking back on my life and talking about the women who helped shape me, and now I can finally share it with you. Gold Dust is packed with stories, laughter, life lessons and some very special people who have been there through every chapter of my life.'

The memoir will explore her relationships with her mother, grandmother, sisters, daughters, and best friends, as well as her bonds with co-stars including the late June Brown, Barbara Windsor, and Wendy Richard.

The book also promises 'behind-the-scenes gossip and hilarious anecdotes' alongside 'life wisdom from EastEnders icons,' aiming to be an 'uplifting celebration and a reminder that women are bloody amazing – just as precious as gold dust.'

From Walford to the Dance Floor

Turner is also set to return to screens later this year on Strictly Come Dancing. 'I am so excited to be making my way to the dance floor this year to be a part of Strictly Come Dancing!' she said upon her casting announcement. 'I am a huge fan and can't quite believe I will be taking part and not watching at home this year! I look forward to meeting everyone and learning a new skill!'

Turner's character Stacey Slater has been at the heart of some of EastEnders' most groundbreaking storylines, including her portrayal of bipolar disorder and postpartum psychosis, earning critical acclaim for her nuanced performances.
