La Voix has definitively ruled out a return to the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom this year, despite another injured contestant being given a second chance. The RuPaul's Drag Race star, who was partnered with professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec on the BBC show, was forced to withdraw early from the most recent series after suffering a foot injury.
La Voix Declines Second Chance
Speaking on ITV's Good Morning Britain, host Ed Balls directly asked La Voix why she could not have a second go at the competition. She replied: 'No, do you know what? I can't...' She then quipped: 'I cannot spend any more time with Aljaz trying to learn the cha cha cha. It was exhausting trying to get him to keep up with me. It really was.'
'I did my time,' La Voix continued. 'We tried.' This contrasts with fellow 2025 contestant Dani Dyer, who also had to bow out due to injury and will be given another opportunity this year to compete for the Glitterball trophy.
Missed Presenting Opportunity
La Voix also admitted she was 'gutted' not to receive a call from BBC bosses following the departure of long-time Strictly hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly. The duo announced last year they would leave after the 2025 series, and after months of speculation, Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe were confirmed as the new presenting trio.
La Voix told Good Morning Britain hosts Ed Balls and Kate Garraway: 'I would have loved... I made it no subtlety that I wanted to be a presenting role on Strictly. Of course I would have loved it. Did I get the call? No. Am I gutted? Absolutely.' She added: 'I wish them all the best of luck on that show. I didn't get the call, but I'd like to, of course.'
Confirmed Contestants for Forthcoming Series
So far, four celebrities have been confirmed for the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing: celebrity hair stylist Chris Appleton, EastEnders actress Lacey Turner, singer-songwriter Delta Goodrem, and former Love Islander Dani Dyer. Good Morning Britain airs on ITV from 6am, and Strictly is available on BBC iPlayer.
