La Voix Rules Out Strictly Come Dancing Comeback, Admits 'I'm Gutted'
La Voix Rules Out Strictly Come Dancing Comeback

La Voix has ruled out the possibility of returning to the Strictly Come Dancing dancefloor this year. The RuPaul's Drag Race star competed on the BBC ballroom programme during the previous series, partnered with pro Aljaz Skorjanec, but was forced to withdraw early following a foot injury.

Dani Dyer also had to leave the 2025 competition due to injury and will make a comeback this year for another attempt at claiming the Glitterball trophy. However, La Voix has indicated she won't be following suit, reports Wales Online.

La Voix Opens Up on Good Morning Britain

Opening up during an appearance on ITV's Good Morning Britain, she also confessed she was "gutted" not to have bagged a presenting slot on the show. Host Ed Balls quizzed La Voix about Strictly, asking: "Why couldn't you have a second go?"

"No, do you know what? I can't," she replied. Joking about her experience, she added: "I cannot spend any more time with Aljaz trying to learn the cha cha cha. It was exhausting trying to get him to keep up with me. It really was." La Voix continued: "I did my time," adding: "We tried."

Disappointment Over Presenting Role

The star revealed she was disappointed not to have received an offer from BBC bosses after Strictly hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly announced their departure from the role. The presenting duo confirmed last year they would be leaving the programme at the conclusion of the 2025 series, and after months of speculation it has now been revealed that Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe will take over as the new hosts.

Speaking to Ed and co-presenter Kate Garraway, La Voix admitted: "I would have loved... I made it no subtlety that I wanted to be a, a presenting role on Strictly. Of course I would have loved it. Did I get the call? No. Am I gutted? Absolutely." "I wish them all the best of luck on that show," she went on. "I didn't get the call, but I'd like to, of course."

Confirmed Stars for Upcoming Series

So far, four stars have been announced for the forthcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing. Celebrity hairdresser Chris Appleton, EastEnders star Lacey Turner, musician Delta Goodrem and ex-Love Island contestant Dani Dyer have all been confirmed for the ballroom competition.

Good Morning Britain airs on ITV from 6am and Strictly is available on BBC iPlayer.
